The rules, in plain language

These terms are between you and BrevRev (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using brevrev.com you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

When you first sign in you confirm that you are 18 or older, or that you are under 18 and using BrevRev with the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. We rely on that confirmation. If it is untrue, we may close the account.

BrevRev is a study tool. You upload your own course materials; it answers questions from them with page citations and turns them into flashcards, quizzes, mock papers, summaries and notes. It also solves problems from a photo and transcribes lectures.

It is a study aid, not a teacher, an examiner or a guarantee of marks. It does not replace your syllabus, your professor or your own judgement.

You sign in with a Google account. Keep that account secure; anything done through it is treated as done by you until you tell us otherwise, so if you suspect someone else has used it, tell us at once. One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer it, or create accounts in bulk.

We will email you about your account and billing, for example before a pass expires. You can’t opt out of those while you hold an account; we send no marketing email without a separate opt-in.

You can delete your account at any time from the profile menu. Deletion is immediate from our live systems and permanent; backups expire within 30 days, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Everything you upload stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, process it and show it back to you, which ends when you delete it.

Upload only material you are allowed to use for your own study: your class notes, handouts your college gave you, papers and books you own, lectures you may record. Do not upload material you have no right to copy, other people’s personal data, or anything unlawful, and do not use BrevRev to redistribute any of it.

You are responsible for what you upload. If anyone brings a claim against us because of your materials or your use of the service, including a copyright claim, you agree to cover our losses and costs from it. BrevRev is an intermediary for your content under Indian law: a rights holder can notify us using the contact below and we will remove infringing content within the time the law allows and tell you. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.

Things you make in BrevRev from your materials, such as decks, quizzes and notes, are yours to use for your studies. When you share one with a public link, anyone with the link can see it until you turn sharing off.

Answers, solutions, cards, quizzes and mock papers are generated by an AI model from the text of your files. They can be incomplete, outdated or simply wrong, and a citation shows where an answer came from, not that it is correct. Check anything that matters against the source page. We are not responsible for marks lost, deadlines missed or decisions taken on the basis of an answer.

BrevRev is grounded on purpose: when your files do not cover something it is meant to say so rather than guess. It will not always succeed.

Everything BrevRev produces is for exam study only. It is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, even when your course is medicine or law, and must not be relied on for any decision about a real patient, case or client. Similar questions may produce similar answers for other students; you have no exclusive rights in an answer.

You agree not to:

• use BrevRev to cheat in an examination, or in any way your institution prohibits;
• use automated tools to send questions, scrape answers, or bypass plan limits, rate limits or bot checks;
• try to access another user’s data, probe or attack the service, or interfere with its operation;
• reverse engineer the service or its prompts, extract its outputs in bulk, or use them to build or train a competing product or model;
• upload malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone’s rights;
• resell access, or create accounts in bulk.

We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will warn you first.

The free plan includes 2 courses, 5 files, 15 cited answers a day and 1 flashcard deck, with no card and no expiry.

Paid passes lift those limits: Plus at ₹349 and Pro at ₹999 per month, with the exact limits of each published on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms. Paid limits refill on a rolling session window and exist to keep the service affordable for everyone; they are fair-use limits, not a promise of unlimited compute.

We may change prices and limits. A change never affects a pass you have already paid for until it expires, and the pricing page always shows what you would pay today.

Passes are prepaid and run for 30 days from purchase. There is no subscription, no auto-debit and nothing to cancel: a pass simply expires, and we remind you before it does. Paid days stack if you buy again before a pass ends. All prices include GST.

Prices are in Indian rupees and payments are processed by Razorpay under its own terms. We do not receive your card or UPI details. Promo discounts apply once per account and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.

A chargeback raised on a pass that has been used, instead of contacting us first, may lead to the pass being withdrawn and the account closed.

Because a pass is consumed from the moment it starts, it is not refundable once used. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or could not use the service at all because of a fault on our side, write to support@brevrev.com within 7 days and we will refund the pass. Refunds go back to the payment method you used.

Every account has a referral code. When 4 friends who joined through your link each buy a plan, you receive 7 days of Plus, up to 3 weeks in a rolling year. Your code also works as a promo code at checkout for the friend. A referral counts when the friend’s first payment is captured; if that payment is refunded or charged back, the referral no longer counts and any week it earned may be reversed. Referring yourself, creating accounts to farm credit, or sharing your link in places you do not belong forfeits the credit and may close the account.

Campus ambassadors are bound by the additional rules on the ambassador page, including: share only in groups you are actually part of, always as yourself. Ambassador perks are free Plus weeks, earned exactly like referrals, and the title. There is no cash reward. We may pause or end the programme at any time.

We work to keep BrevRev available, but it depends on third-party AI, speech and hosting providers and we cannot promise it will never be down or slow, or that it will be free of errors. We are not responsible for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at those providers, network failures or government action. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you at least 30 days to export your materials.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for a material change we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use BrevRev after that means you accept the new terms.

You can end it at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will warn you first where we reasonably can; a pass on a closed account is not refunded. We can also close any account with 30 days’ notice if we stop offering the service.

When an account closes, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. The sections on your materials, AI answers, liability, and governing law survive the end of this agreement.

BrevRev is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss of any kind, including lost marks, failed examinations, missed admissions or deadlines, lost data you have not kept a copy of, or lost income. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please raise any dispute with us first and give us 30 days to resolve it: write to support@brevrev.com.

These terms, the Privacy Policy and the pricing page are the whole agreement between us. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest stands. If we do not enforce a term once, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it to a successor who takes over the service, and will tell you if we do.
